May 22 - Cathedra Inducted into Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame

Cathedra was bred, foaled, raised and sold as a yearling by Tymal Farms. An outstanding racehorse, she earned a total of $733,000 during her on track career for owners Martwest Stable, Ross Holmes, the late Graham Chambers and trainer Larry Ainsworth.

Now owned by Hanover Shoe Farms, the mare has become one of the sport’s leading broodmares with her foals having won almost $5 million to date. They include Cabrini Hanover, Cathedra Dot Com and the ill fated Western Shooter. Cathedra won the O’Brien award at the conclusion of her two-year-old season and her three foals listed were also honoured as Canada’s best during their careers.
